The Spanish young entrepreneur Marta Figar, just opened a Home Deco store in Madrid: KATIRA.

"My goal is to help create a pleasant home atmosphere through our unique products and timeless design, making Katira Lifestyle easily acknowledgeable". Marta.

KATIRA was born from the desire to bring to every home a combination of three of our greatest passions: crafts, design and travel.

Katira team is leaded by Marta and Paula Castañer, two Spanish girls that mixed their talents to launch this amazing project. Decorative pieces, Portuguese ceramics, books and frame photographs from around the world, Katira is the ideal place to find the best homeware edition in Madrid.

Highlights include home treasures sourced from their international travels to Mexico, Colombia, Vietnam, Portugal and many more.
Marta is also best known for her talent behind the lens, she has always been passionate about photography and fulfilled a dream when she made her first exhibition in 2015.

Marta: Completely in love with our handmade ceramic lamps, Made in Spain.
Their shapes are very special and they are available in more than 20 colors.
For me, they are a fundamental piece to have.
Paula: Our 100% sheep wool blankets. I really adore the patterns and how versatile they are.

Marta: The last piece I bought is a leather bag from Malababa.
Paula: A pair of jeans from Paris Re Made that I found at Vasquiat.
#THELAST FAVOURITE PLACE TO GET INSPIRED?
Marta: Mexico for me is a very special place. It's people, colors and history fascinates me, I love getting to know new places every time I go. Right now I am in love with Oaxaca and all its different types of craftsmanship.
Paula: I am very Mediterranean, so the place that has always inspired me the most is the Costa Brava. Because of the simple lifestyle, the landscapes and the immense respect for tradition that is found in every corner.
#THELAST PLACE YOU RECOMMEND IN MADRID?
Marta: I love trying out food from different countries and I am obsessed with FAYER, a new restaurant in Madrid that combines Israeli and Argentinian food. I also highly recommend to visit Formaje, a cheese store in Madrid.
Paula: The best rice dishes, without a doubt, you will find them in Samm. And one of the best places to have a drink is Lucky Dragon.
